The Heritage Association of San Marcos named Thea Dake as the 2013 Community Volunteer and honored Diane Studebaker as 2013 Member of the Year. Read the press release.
Presentation of Landmark awards  preceded the dinner program by photographer, author and storyteller Ralph Yznaga, speaking on historic and remarkable trees in Texas.

Bricks

Personalized bricks sold by the Riverwalk Park Committee are now set in place around the Gwen Smith Fountain in Veramendi Plaza. Speaking of bricks, the Board of Directors recently approved funds to be used to purchase a brick to promote the Heritage Association downtown on LBJ Dr. To learn more about this project and brick sale, visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/bricksale
