The 50th Anniversary Awards Dinner October 20 at the Price Center was a delightful success! Thank you to Jean Baggett and committee for all their hard work.
2024 Annual Dinner and Meeting
The 2024 Annual Meeting was held at Palmer's Restaurant and Bar. Activities included the presentation of the Veramendi Plaza Award of Honor to the family of Polly Wright and the presentation of Member of the Year (Jan Little) and Community Volunteer of the Year (Wayne Kraemer) awards. A delicious meal and a lively business meeting and officer election were also part of the evening's agenda. Photos from the event posted below.
2023 Annual Meeting
Heritage members enjoyed a great Annual Meeting on October 22, 2023, at the La Cima Community Center in San Marcos. We celebrated our Community Volunteers of the year, Monte Sheffield and Kristin Sheffield of Palmer's Restaurant and Bar, and our Member of the Year, Bronwyn Sergi. Also honored was the late Mildred "Millie" Bechtol, recipient of this year's Veramendi Plaza Award of Honor. Millie made distinguished contributions both to the Heritage Association and to the community of San Marcos during her 91 years. Members of the Bechtol family were on hand to celebrate her life and receive the award.
Thanks go out to Russell Clark, Cathy Dillon, Marianne Moore, Linda Coker, and MIke Dillon for creating a beautiful event. Heritage President Debbie Austin gave her farewell speech and was recognized for three years as Heritage President as a new slate of officers and directors was voted in.
