This year's theme "SEE, SIP & SAVOR: IN THE HISTORIC GARDENS OF SAN MARCOS" combines two attractions that San Marcos has to offer - delicious food and rich history. On the 2022 Home Tour, savor your way through the historic district and sample some southern hospitality while exploring lush gardens.
Start the tour with mimosas at the Dake House, the Classical Revival home located at 220 N. Johnson Ave, owned by Dr. and Mrs. Ted Dake. Then it's on to high tea and an amazing array of charcuterie at Crookwood, the Greek Revival home of former Ambassador William H. Crook and Mrs. Crook located at 227 N. Mitchell Street. Next, lace your way through the historic district to enjoy English scones, jam and cream and other treats at the Victorian Home, built in 1886 at 903 Belvin, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blake Stasney. Finish with a glass of wine or bubbly at Germer Insurance Services and drink specials and live music at Zelick's Icehouse (1/2 price drinks).
$25 advance/$30 tour day.
