Heritage Guild and Facility Rentals

The Charles S. Cock House Museum, with the caring oversight of the Heritage Guild, is available to rent
and is a perfect venue for small to moderate-sized events.

Charles S. Cock House - Rental Information

The Charles S. Cock House, erected in 1867, is the only stone residential house in the Greek Revival style left in San Marcos. Now a Museum, the House is available to rent for a variety of small to moderate-sized events, including the following:
  • Wedding or Baby Shower
  • Birthday Party or Graduation
  • Intimate Wedding Reception
  • Organization or Club Luncheon
  • Memorial Service Gathering
  • Small Meeting
  • Graduation Celebration
The House features a front sitting porch that faces East Hopkins Street, a kitchen, and three separate rooms, which seat 12-16 people each. The rooms include table sizes that may be configured to meet your individual event needs.

​Special Events Rental
  • 4 hour minimum rental
  • Rental includes entire facility
  • Heritage Guild Representative required to be available during the event
  • Written Agreement signed by both parties is required.
  • Minimum rental fee is $120 (additional hours are $30/hour)​
  • Executed contract, final details, and $120 deposit due 14 days prior to event
  • Cancellation fee is $120 if event is cancelled within 14 days of event
  • Deposit will be refunded within 10 days after event
  • Facility must be cleaned and re-set to original configuration
Museum Kitchen
  • Prepared or catered food is permitted
  • Refrigerator, microwave, stove available for warming and to maintain proper serving temperatures
  • Ample counter space
  • Alcohol is not permitted without written permission​
  • Trash receptacles available
Meetings
  • 1 hour minimum rental
  • Minimum Rental fee $30 (additional hours are $30/hour)
  • Heritage Guild Representative required to be available during the event.
